Overview

A Classic Championship Layout

Royal Hua Hin offers a classic parkland-style layout stretching 6,678 yards from the championship tees. Designed by A.O. Robin in the 1920s, the course features mature tropical trees, strategic bunkering, and the unique distinction of having no water hazards.

The course winds through ancient rain trees and past dramatic limestone outcrops, with moderately hilly terrain and tight, doglegged fairways. Small, often elevated greens with circular designs reward accurate approach play. Occasional ocean glimpses from elevated sections add to the visual drama.

Designed by A.O. Robin, a railway engineer stationed in Phetchaburi, with input from an Italian architect, the course layout works with the natural terrain. Macaque monkeys occasionally roam the vegetation along the back nine, adding a unique element of adventure to your round. There are no water hazards on the course, a rare feature that makes Royal Hua Hin uniquely strategic.
